Increase the ability of your donations

« Sustainable access to microfinance helps reducing poverty by generating income, creating jobs, providing the opportunity for children to go to school, enabling families to obtain health care and giving means to the people to make choices that best meet their needs. The great challenge that lies ahead of us is to address the constraints that are an obstacle to the full participation of the people in the financial sector. Together, we can and we must build inclusive financial sectors that help the populations to improve their lives. ».

Financial fair : the ability to develop the local economy

The finance fair was born from the concept of fair trade, which aims to better distribute the availability of rich countries opposite to the rural actors and traders in poor countries.

By giving the opportunity to invest and develop local populations and supporting economic fabric base through micro finance, finance fair helps enhance the GDP of developing countries.

Designer of the finance fair logo, OFE, a non-profit association, is totally in this approach, proposing to transform your donations in microcredits for the agricultural trading populations in Africa.

The OFE responds with the same objectives to the program “development of the millennium” set by the UNO.

The microcredit : the ability to transform your donations durably

OFE is closely linked to the COMDEV FINANCAS, a participatory savings and shared “caisse”, based in Guinea Bissau; specialized in microcredits deals, COMDEV FINANCAS is approved and recognized by national and international authorities (UNO, PNUD and FAO).

OFE organizes private capital raising and reverse them to the COMDEV FINANCAS.

Received donations are then transformed into very small amounts loans, to farmers, contractors, and craftsmen who don’t have access to conventional bank loans. This allows to implement micro projects promoting business and wealth creation. Reimbursed more than 98%, the money of credits can be loaned again.

Ofe the ability to convert interests into actions in solidarity

If the operations of micro-finance have proved effective in sustainable development, OFE has understood that it is desirable to link microcredit to other mechanisms for humanitarian aid to meet emergency problems.

Like all credits, micro-credits granted by the COMDEV FINANCAS generate interests. The money accruing interest is used in large part to the costs for the selection and monitoring highly personalized borrowers living in often remote areas. Net income generated are used to complement humanitarian work of OFE.

Thus 70% of the interests from the microcredit provided by the COMEDEV FINANCAS are then donated to a local charity, internationally recognized and chosen every 2 years by OFE.
